Noticing a flat spot on your baby's head can be worrying, and you are not alone in wondering what to do. Plagiocephaly is a flat spot that often develops from spending time in one position, or from neck tightness that makes a baby favor one side.
Can chiropractic help?
Head shape is closely tied to how freely your baby can turn their neck. We use gentle care to support comfortable movement and even positioning, so it is easier for your baby to turn both ways and shift how they rest. Plenty of tummy time and varied positioning help, too.

Your first visit includes a conversation about your baby, a gentle INSiGHT nervous system scan, and a feather-light first adjustment. Babies can be checked in the first days and weeks of life, and care is always tailored to your newborn's age and size.

How does chiropractic support a baby with a flat head?
When a baby can turn their head comfortably in both directions, it is easier to vary how they rest and play. We use gentle care to support neck mobility and symmetry, alongside the repositioning and tummy time that help most.
Is chiropractic safe for my baby?
Dr. Hayley is trained to deliver a safe and gentle adjustment for all, specific to their age, size and what they have going on. There is no popping or cracking in a baby's adjustment. We use light fingertip pressure, no more than you would use to test the ripeness of a tomato, grounded in advanced ICPA training.
How old does my baby need to be?
Babies can be checked in the first days and weeks of life. Care is always tailored to your newborn's age and size with the gentlest possible approach.
